VISITOR VISA FOR INDIAN FIANCE/BOYFRIEND

Post by chrisd2601 » Mon Apr 07, 2008 9:26 pm

Hello
My daughter met her Indian boyfriend last year on holiday. We all returned in January when they got officially engaged. They would like to spend more time together before applying for a fiance visa, as they want to get married in about 18 months. If we apply for a visitor visa, with us, her parents, sponsoring him, as we regard him and his family as friends having spent many occasions with them, and we mention the romantic link with our daughter, will they turn it down. Or, should be up front and say that they need to have the extra time before marriage. Obviously, he doesnt want to stay here as he has a job to go back to and would not wish to prejudice the fiance visa application.

Any help or suggestions.

No replies yet!! Can anyone help. Also when the visitor visa is printed in the internet cafe in India, is it OK to be in black and white rather than colour as the difference in price is huge!
