TOTAL cost for UKM British Citizenship application

Post by 7707020171081 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 2:04 pm

Good Afternoon.
I am slightly confused as to how much to sign my authority form for the total fee to be deducted from my account for the application fee - UKM FORM

It says 80 pounds but then in brackets ceremony fee only. Is this the total anount or is it the 1163 pounds? That seems like alot if so!

Please help! N

Thank you Vinny

Am I correct that once the application has been received, the home office will advise me where to go for my Biometrics )fee 20 pounds) I live in Durban, south Africa.
Do I include this fee with the original signed application fee of 80 pounds?

I am CR001, not 'vinny' (all moderators names appear in green font).

Yes, you will be informed. Likely no extra charge for biometrics, the charge you quote is for applications made within the UK who enroll biometrics at a UK Post Office who charge a fee. You pay HO £80 for your application.

You will be sent a letter on where to go a few weeks after you submit your application, likely to be the VFS offices.

I have finally got everything ready. It says to send my passport with the application. Do i send my South African passport with the retention letter or just a certified copy of the first page with the retention letter?

I attended the Visa Application centre today and had all my Biometric data captured online as per the instructions in the letter received. They did not give me anything when I was there. What should I expect next? will something be posted to me or do they biometric details get sent electronially to the Uk office for capture? If so, how long does this take until I hear anything?

Yes

It will still take a couple of months. Your application will start being worked on now.

Hi there,

Did you ever finalise this? Where and how was the ceremony held?
