Don't worry guys, this is pretty old post from Novemeber...it has already impacted November, December & January allocationsamit2453 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 3:40 pmhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... broad.html
40,000 Nurse in demand.
Thanks for that sptula, I did not see the date. Gives some hope that we might all get approved one day. Even if we need to wait a while for our turn.sptula wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 5:16 pmDon't worry guys, this is pretty old post from Novemeber...it has already impacted November, December & January allocationsamit2453 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 3:40 pmhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... broad.html

February may not be such bad
Not yet. I think they send out emails a couple of days before the meeting if the quota is not oversubscribed.45, what is yours?
1) As @Sptula mentioned - this is an old article dated November 2016.amit2453 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 3:40 pmhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... broad.html

Its Nov 2017 and not 2016mschase wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 2:43 pm1) As @Sptula mentioned - this is an old article dated November 2016.amit2453 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 3:40 pmhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... broad.html
40,000 Nurse in demand.
2) 40,000 is the vacancy for nurses out of which 5,500 are to be recruited internationally on a “rolling” basis meaning 500 on average each month for example. Not all 40k will be recruited internationally.
Feb does have more quota than previous months and if the trend continues, points might drop to 40 or 35 at best. 40 points and above shouldn’t be worried.
I don’t think April is as promising as people make it sound. HO has been very strict on quota number for years so doubt there will be a drastic change this year.
Good luck.
I think people are saying April will be promising because it will take a couple of months for the current backlog to clear and if the score keeps gradually dropping April will be around the time you’d expect it to be getting back to normal...not that they’re thinking the rules are going to change or anything.mschase wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 2:43 pm1) As @Sptula mentioned - this is an old article dated November 2016.amit2453 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 3:40 pmhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... broad.html

Is it always the case that they’ll ask for additional documents?
Not sure, but i think they ask to submit the documents after initial application if your application scores above the cutoff limit.Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:25 pmIs it always the case that they’ll ask for additional documents?
I thought this was only the case if the employer didn’t include everything they needed to in the application or HO required further information because there was some conjecture.
That seems like a lot of work for HO. Some months they would have to request documents from 2500+ employers. Plus a lot of employers wouldn’t have a chance to get back to them if they were only asked for documents a couple of days earlier.aaron001 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:50 amNot sure, but i think they ask to submit the documents after initial application if your application scores above the cutoff limit.Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:25 pmIs it always the case that they’ll ask for additional documents?

I might be wrong.
My employer has submitted three times and has been asked for the documents three times - same letter each time. The first time they submitted, there was an issue with the application my employer detected (RLMT done wrong) and my employer cancelled the application. The second time they submitted, the application did not make the cut off for January points. This last time, my employer wrote to UKVI and confirmed that our application is valid (fingers crossed enough points now!) So, I think it's something they send out each time automatically.aaron001 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:50 amNot sure, but i think they ask to submit the documents after initial application if your application scores above the cutoff limit.Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:25 pmIs it always the case that they’ll ask for additional documents?
