Tier 2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General Main applicant

Hi Team,

Initially I worked on ICT tier 2 short term for 8 months, then I change it to ICT tier 2 Long term and working on this category for last 3.5 years. My question is, If I can change my visa category to TIER2 General dependent and after few months I get sponsored for myself, can I able to change it to Tier 2 General primary applicant? Do I still need to serve the cooling off period of 1 Years on Tier2 general dependent before getting converted it to Tier 2 general Main. Also do I need to visit my home country for change in visa ( tier 2 general dependent to tier 2 general Main ).

Yes, exactly 12 months from the date your dependent visa is valid for. You will have to apply for Tier 2 General main visa from home country and meet all the requirements.
