Tuberculosis (TB) Test certificate

Post by Roofi » Mon Feb 19, 2018 10:25 pm

Dear members,

I am preparing application to apply for Tier 1 Entrepreneur DEPENDENT visa for my wife.

Last week she attended one of the approved medical centres in Pakistan and got her Tuberculosis (TB) test certificate. According to medical certificate, They did not find any evidence of active pulmonary TB however chest x-rays was abnormal because of the following reason,

"Obliterated left CP angle"

We consulted other doctors and they said x-ray is absolutely normal and their findings are wrong. My wife visited approved medical centre once again and asked them to retake the x-ray and review their findings. But they refused to amend or retake the test. They said test can only be retaken after 6 months.

Has anyone on this forum experienced the same situation?

Will this certificate have any impact on the outcome of application?

Many thanks

If your test shows that you don’t have TB, you’ll be given a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Include this certificate with your UK visa application. Other medical conditions are irrelevant.

If they have said it ain't normal then they should have referred your wife to a specialist.
I know some people who had a mark in their lungs and their tests were abnormal but once their mucus test was done, they were given a letter that all tests normal.
