Help with UK Ancestry Visa

Post by andrewaustralia » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:42 am

I have applied for my ancestry visa (Grandfather is British) and my wife is going to come to London, however we are a little confused as to which VISA she needs to apply for. Has anyone else done this?
I think she needs to apply for Tier 1 (General) dependants only, Partner. Is this correct?

Help with UK Ancestry Visa

Post by andrewaustralia » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:49 am

Hello
I have applied for my ancestry visa and I am waiting to hear back if everything is fine.
My wife is coming with me and we are wanting to get her application started, however we are both a little confused as to which VISA she needs to apply for. Has anyone else done this and can point us in the right direction?

No, this is NOT correct as you are NOT applying for a Tier 1 General visa.

Why did she not apply at the same time as you??

Another quick question:
when completing my wife's application, the UK Sponsor section requests information regarding the sponsor person details (myself), however it seems that's it's also compulsory to enter a 'Sponsor Job' details?
your advise is appreciated, thank you!
