Born to EEA father in 2004

Post by Filipkh » Wed Feb 21, 2018 11:22 pm

Hello,

I was born in the UK on March 10th 2004. My father was and still is an EEA citizen (Finland) however my mother was/is not. My parents were living in the UK at the time as they were attending University of Essex. We moved away around a year after my birth.

I have always felt a very strong connection to the UK and I have long aspired to gain British citizenship. Although I believe it is probably not possible, is there any chance of being approved british citizenship under my circumstances?

Best regards
Filip

Did your father or mother gain Permanent Residency or Indefinite Leave to Remain status before your birth? The document could be letter from the Home Office, Stamps in passport or blue residence card, etc.
Do you currently live in the UK? Check here for the requirements: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... en-form-an
