Timeline after successful administrative review

Post by mrtaikandi » Thu Dec 21, 2017 8:45 pm

Hi all,

I'm living in London under Tier 2 General (Sponsored) visa. Six months ago my wife applied for dependent visa. After 3 month her visa was rejected and we applied for an administrative review which came in positive. In the review email they told us to send her passport to the visa application center again for her visa to get issued. It's been almost two months and we haven't heard back anything.

I was wondering if this OK and how long will it take for her visa to be issued?

Thanks.

Timeline after successful administrative review

Post by mrtaikandi » Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:51 pm

Hi all,
Does any body know, how long will take for the visa to be issued after a positive admission review?
My wife send her passport back to VAC in Istanbul, after overturned rejection on 17 November, 2017 and she hasn't got her passport back yet!

Urgent - Making a complaint for Tier 2 dependent visa

Post by mrtaikandi » Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:49 am

Hi all,

My wife applied for a PBS Tier 2 Dependent visa on 31/07/207 but was refused and she applied for Administrative review and they overturned the refusal on 09/11/2017. Since then we are waiting for her visa to be issued. It's been 64 working days (until today) and I want to make a complaint about this and ask for an answer about why it is taking this long.

Firstly, I want to know where should I email my complaint?
Secondly, is there any reference documents or website I can point out in my email, to show that, this is unusual to take this long for a visa to be issued after administrative review?

Thanks.

Hi i am in the same situation like you...
I am also on tier 2 and UkVi refused my wife and son dependent visa. After admin review the decision was overturned. They resubmitted their passports on 3-01-18 and since then no update has been received. I called them, emailed them but useless. The reason for their visa refusal was because the ECO wasn’t satisfied we are in genuine relationship. Please can you share what was your reason??

Exactly the same reason. ECO wasn't satisfied that we were living together back in our country.

Looklike we both are in a same ship 🙁. It is getting on my nerves. My wife has lived here before and my son was born in Uk even his borth certificate was also issued in UK. Still they refused with a rubbish logic. Please stay connected and if I receive any update i will let you know. In the mean time I suggest call them to escalate your case.

Thank you

Received an email today on which they asked my wife to pay the NHS fee. Now this is very confusing my previous payment which i made at the time of application still hasn’t refunded and i was thinking it will not be refunded unless there is any outcome after successful admin review. They also mentioned in the email that the application was deferred due to lack of payment. Now i have paid again. Interestingly they didn’t ask for the payment for my son application i emailed them to send me the link for his ihs payment as well. This is very confusing man. Did u received you IHS refund after the refusal ?? This could be the reason for your delay as well

Thanks for sharing this with me. I checked my bank account and they have not refunded anything.
This is not making any sense. Why are they asking for money for which you have already paid.
Is it the same amount as you paid during your initial application?

Initially i paid £644 for each application and now i paid another £213 for my wife. My tier 2 visa is only valid till 30-08-18 and when i applied for their dependent application in nov-17 i paid £600 for each application. I asked solicitor why it is £600 when my visa is valid till 30-08-17 interestingly when i was filling application form on Visa4uk website it prompted me to the IHS page where i paid £600. It i very frustrating how they are handling all this. I suggest you to check your email address provided with your main application not with Admin review.

I received this reply after I emailed them and asked for an explanation for the fifths time since December.

"Thank you for your enquiry
We are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to. We cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however I have escalated this to the appropriate Entry Clearance team so that it can be progressed as quickly as possible.
If you have any further enquiries, please visit our website at www.GOV.UK"

Tomorrow I'm going to call them and ask what do they mean by not be able to give us a time scale? Are they really unable to at least let us know what is the maximum time? And what do they mean they are still trying to make a decision. We have the adminstrative review answer that clearly indicates they are now ready to issue a visa for my wife.

I have just checked my account and they refunded the IHS for my wife which i paid on 15-11-17 and they also refunded the IHS which i repaid on 23-2-18. Looks like they are going to refuse the visa. Nothing was refunded for the application of my son yet.
