Urgent Help needed regarding FPS and

Post by hollan » Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:21 am

Dear All,

My Visa Extension is Due in First week of March 2018, I want help from the senior members please regarding the below FPS from Policy Guidance page 35 .

(a) Printouts of Real Time-Full Payment Submissions showing you are complying with Pay
As You Earn (PAYE) reporting requirements to HM Revenue & Customs, in respect of each
relevant settled worker as legally required, and have done so for the full period of
employment used to claim points. These must show every payment made to each settled
worker as well as any deductions.

So basically my Accountant doesn't use any 3rd party software for generating payslips, so he doesn't have any FPS for my employee's, he uses real time hmrc site to summit the payment each month and now he has given me (Employee pay and Deductions Record) as Full time Submission, which is showing how much tax and NI each employee has paid for their duration at work. But my Solicitor is saying he needs FPS in word format. And my accountant doesn't want to do that as its time consuming and he is busy.

My Question is can we summit only Employee pay and dedcution record as Real Time Full Submissions.

Please advice me, Thanking you in advance

Kind Regards

No, you can't.
If your accountant has been directly submitting using HMRC software, then the FPS should be available at online.hmrc.gov.uk. You may need to register yourself, if you haven't done so, and access the FPS from there. I haven't done this myself as I have used payroll software but that is how I understand it works if the HMRC software is used to do RTI.

You need to have registered for the PAYE service.

But I think I had forgotten something - to see the FPS, you need to use the PAYE Basic Tools. Details at https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... de#page=25
Your accountant would have used PBT to file the RTI (as far as I know you can't do RTI purely online). You can install your own copy of PBT and use the gateway ID to access your records.

Hi Senior Members,

I managed to get FPS from HMRC, trying to upload here but there is no option to attach a file, to make sure i am going in the right direction and to know if it is the correct FPS, though i have erased the data sensitivity part, just want to share the format.

Kind Regards

If it says Full Payment Submission or FPS in the title, it is possibly correct.

As per the guidance - These must show every payment made to each settled worker as well as any deductions.

So, if that information is there, you should be ok.

Hi Marcath,

One main heading it says, Employee Submission History and below that in the Bold letters it says (FPS)

It has Date Submission Create- Date of Submission- Submission ID - Submission Status / Action

under Submission ID, it also has Correlation ID and IRmark.

Thank a lot for your Help, Really Appreciate that. Your Help eased my Stress at deadline time :) :)

Kind Regards

So this is only the confirmation of the submission, not the actual submission.
You need to get the copy of the actual submission.
