Hello Everyone,
Today I’m immensely excited to finally share the good news with you guys.
I was granted ILR, received an approval letter this morning at around 10:30. Couldn’t believe my eyes as I was mentally prepared to wait a minimum of 5 months. In total my processing time was 4months and 10 days roughly . Thank you very much for your unconditional support and I wish to those still anxiously waiting for an answer to keep positive yours will come along soon.

Applied on 29th Aug still no response ..... but still 4 days to go in 6 month deadline ..... nothing you can do except being positive and staying calm

Now waiting for the BRP.
Can I Apply for travel documents now or I have to wait till I received My BRP card?
I applied on 05/10/2017.

Congratulations! You need to wait for your BRP card before you can apply for your travel document. It is only question of days now.

I don’t think we can apply the convention travel document. It just for refugee status. If we have ILR, we have to apply for the Certificate of travel “the black one”. Because I have never heard anyone can apply for travel document after having ILR.

Yes you can still apply for the blue convention travel document as you still a refugee although you have ILR until you naturalize. See this link : https://www.gov.uk/apply-home-office-travel-document

Hi Datle,
Let's not mislead people in this forum. The section you are referring to is for stateless people only, meaning those who have been refused passport from their own country. As for us we are and will be a refugee until we get British passport, therefore are under UN convention. There is nothing to be shame of about it ( Einstein was a refugee too).That is why when you and me apply for ILR we use the form called "PROTECTION ROUTE" and that is why the HO introduce in 2017 the "SAFE RETURN REVIEW" to make sure we still need that "PROTECTION".

I received my approval letter today and so happy about it. Here is my timelines:

Biometric given: 13/11/2017
Approval letter received: 02/03/2018
BRP: Waiting

Yes. applied on 22/10, received by HO on 24/10, biometrics done on 2/11, received my fifth regular email on 28 February.
