New born Son

Post by MIM » Mon Apr 14, 2008 3:29 pm

Hello everyone,

I am a work permit holder and my wife came to the uk as my dependent.

Now we have a new born son (3 months - sweet arn't they ?? ).
Meanwhile I had applied for HSMP and received the approval letter.

Now, I think I should be able to apply Visa for my son directly as a
dependent of HSMP holder (If my application is successful) along with
my application. But on Tier1 dependent visa there are some strange
questions

e.g.

C1. Under what nationality did the dependant travel to the UK?

D1. Did the dependant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering
the UK?

D2. From which country overseas did the dependant obtain entry clearance or a visa before travelling to the UK?
D3. When was the entry clearance or visa issued?

D6. At which port did the dependant enter the UK?
D7. Please give full details of the dependant’s method of entry into the UK
D9. For what purpose did the dependant enter the UK?
D10. When did the dependant arrive in the UK?
D11. What is the dependant’s current immigration status in the UK?

D12. When does the dependant’s current leave expire?
D13. Has the dependant ever remained in the UK beyond the end of their period of leave?
D25. Was this application submitted before the dependant’s leave expired?
D26. Has the dependant’s leave now expired?

How should I answer them.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Thank you very much again to Th for his initial reply to my query..

Regards
MIM

Thank you very much Vinny for your help, it is very useful. In terms of these question Section D of the Tier1 dependent form states

"It is mandatory to complete section D. If it is not complete the application will be invalid and will be returned to the dependant."

However Most of these questions are not reelvent so shall I just write
Not Applicable - New Born in the UK

on all of these questions ?

I hope someone can clarify a bit more on this, I am not sure what to do and workpermit UK customer care dept is not picking up calls. :-(
