Settlement spouse and a child

Post by Dilshod » Mon Mar 05, 2018 4:07 am

Hi all!

So here is the thing:
I need your opinion .
Ive applied for my son and wife and waiting time frame is usually 12 weeks 9weeks so far! Ive called the H.O to ask if they need any other documents just in case. So the gentlemen on the other line has escalated it with email to Further other HO staff at Sheffield i think.

Then after couple of days received the email stating these:

Thank you for your enquiry

Your application is in the final stages and you will receive a decision very soon

Kind Regards

Im assuming its an automated email??
The wuestion is: is these a positive email or no??
Kind regrads!!

A standard 'neutral' email.

The time frame!

Online application submited by me December 24th
4th January biometrics and online submited by biometric cebtre staff centre.
Sent supporting docs the same day. Received email on 15th January docs received by Sheffield.

Called to centre for an inquiry if they need anyhing else on 25 February.
Gettin the email back from Sheffield on 28th
Stateting: its on a last stages and that i should get the decision very soon!
Is it a goid or bad news? Any assumptions any one?

Probably means an ECO will soon look at it. They usually make a decision within 1 hour.
Did you send the docs to PO BOX and have you not have them sent back to you yet.

Hi there
Thank yiu for your respond.
What does ECO stand for please?
No they have not sent them to me back it’s because not all off them were originals as i was told bot to send the originals only scanned did cs. However it was partly originals like finacial and my work etc..

I got the email then saying if i dont want to eclosr an envelope then they would sned the docs to me by normal post(I didn’t send them the envelope)
Left it as it is!

Also what do you think about email?
I guess its a good email since they didn’t ask me for more docs or else ?

ECO = Entry Clearance Officer.

The automated letter is no indication of an approval or a refusal.

Hi all!!

Just a quick question: im waiting 51 working days on a spouse and a child visa... the question is is there cases over 60 days and still get the visa? Or what will happen if i pass the 60 days time frame?
Im trying to look at the bright side and hopefully will get it in 9working days time however waiting is a torture
Tnx all

I also applied for Wife and Child Settlement visa on 15th Nov 2017. It has been 81 working days but heard nothing from them. Has Home Office taken IHS payment for your child or not yet?
I inquired to UKVI centre and they said they have escalated to concern department and should in touch within 15 working days but in case i do not hear in 15 working days than i should contact UKVI centre again.

They will send you a link to pay IHS at some point, usually just before visa granted.

No point asking for IHS if they not going to issue visa, so most likely asked for beforehand

No, i have not heard anything. I did email inquiry on 6th March and got a reply as following:

"Thank you for the information you have provided.
We escalated your case to the relevant department on 06/03/2018.
You should be contacted regarding your case within 15 working days from the date of escalation.
Please allow the 15 working days to pass before contacting UK Visas & Immigration International Contact Centre again should you not receive any further correspondence".

Some people say HO Can not refuse visa without asking IHS for the child because they must consider full application before making any decision. I am not sure why HO is not asking for IHS for my child (he applied as a dependent of my wife) via spouse visa route of a settled person. His age is less than 2 years old. Anyone in the same situation?

Hi Jamshaid

Thank you very much for your info!
Very kind
My situation is almost the same except for the time frame. H.O didnt charge me for my child as yet nor asked me for a payment(it was blunt when we were doing the IHS payment zero cost for a child so we thinknits free for a child uneer certain age?
All the best Jamshaid
Please do let us know when you get it.
Tnx
Best of luck

There's a bug on the IHS system for child payment; they are aware of it so not sure why they don't fix it or why they dont allow people to easily pay IHS as it causes alot of distress. The good thing though a lot of times if they do ask for IHS later it can mean a visa approval is pending.
