Hi guys, thanks very much in advance.
Basically, I am applying to immigrate my fiancee to the UK. All is kinda good in that she has a degree in pharmacy, no criminal convictions, passed her TB test and the english test.
My earnings exceed the 18600 threshold but there is an issue.
Basically I run a fencing business which is my main income. This last tax year I earn't a decent wage but I spent a lot on my business in capital expenses to improve my efficiency and reduce tax, there for reducing profit. However, I provide a consultancy service to a company abroad which brings my earning well above that which is required. My accountant processes these figures also and of course I pay my taxes and this can be shown via my self assessment form which is dealt with by my accountant.
My problem is this.... I have a business account which is used solely for my UK business dealings and immigration want to see this account. No problem. But to keep my finances simple I have had my commission paid into my personal account, not my business account. Immigration are only asking for my business bank statements for 24 months and they'll show a turnover of around 70k over the past 2 years but it wont tally with the tax I've paid as I will have paid a lot more tax due to the commission that has been paid into my personal account.
Dunno if that makes sense to you all but if it did, do you think this poses a problem? I'm really worried. It would be a massive smack in the face if she was declined. Could do with some advice.
Cheers
