don't know why they have to hold it there! that's sooooo far for me. we'll be coming from belfast (if we get to go to this ceremony) and it'll take 5 hours!

I went on the Killarney convention website, it looks smaller then the dublin. I just always assumed the first ceremony of the new year would be a big one. I knew this delay in announcements was because of something.

its not small, sitting capacity is 1500 people in auditorium and 1200 in main hall and inis could hold 2 or 3 ceremonies in a day

I don't know why im posting all these I havnt even received my approval yet

I was really hoping after wait 2 years for a decision that this next ceremony would be for me and things seem to be making progress on my application but reading were it is has dampened my mood again. Im.applying from Belfast and killnarny is just so far away. It's like 2 hrs to Dublin then anywhere between 3 hrs and 5 hrs to killnarny depending on the time you travel. I would have to go the day before and stay over night.

Was really hoping for a dublin cerm.

What happens if ur unable to make it, Is it acceptance still valid of u decline this one and wait for a dublin one?

my mood go off again I was hoping that I will get my approval and I was thinking that they delay the anoucment of the ceremoney this year I though they will do it in waterford as I m from there but unfortunately the did not but I m still hoping to get my approval and I will travel I m just tired of waiting it's been 1 year and 2 month

Its not small and I'm sure its goin to be 2 or 3 ceremonies on the same day different time ..

"You will receive an invitation to your ceremony by post about 4 or 5 weeks before it is scheduled to occur."


It is fair to assume that people should start receiving this week. up to 3 weeks before ceremony

I got approval letter dates 12th April recieved on 14th April. Bankers draft and photos all send just waiting for my invitation letter to cermoney on 21st may. I live in Belfast so will have to travel to to killarney. I had been waiting since Aug 16 on a approval.

Got my letter asking for 950 euros and send documents yesterday dated 17th April, assuming I send the draft and other details via registered post tomorrow, do you think I will be considered for this ceremony dates 21st May

I’m approved as well for the May ceremony. Heading down there’s from Belfast as well. I think quite a few approvals from the North will be there. Still no ceremony invite yet.

I went to a Morrissey concert there a few years ago. It's very big.
I posted my cheque and pics yesterday. I hope I get invited to Killarney.

If you're travelling from the North, make a weekend of it! It's lovely there

It clearly says on the inis.gov.ie website that all future ceremonies will take place in Killarney.

I personally do not care where the ceremony is as long as i receive the invitation after being approved

Guys do you think this invitation letter ? because it clearly confirm that i am scheduled for the ceremony 21.05.2018.

Do you think i should expect another letter ?

I have a stamp on my passport until 30th may and i sent a scanned copy by e-mail.

I am directed by the minister for justice and equality to refer to your application for naturalization.

I acknowledge your correspondence received in this office and any document enclose.

Please note that , an applicant is required to have permission to remain in the state right up to of naturalization, it has been noted that your permission to remain expired on 17.04.2018 and you are scheduled to attend citizenship ceremony on the 21.05.2018.

Therefore please now arrange to have your permission extended until 21.05.2018 and forward same to this office.

Applied in June 2015 based on 5 years EUFAM which was approved in Dec 2009, also approved 10 years EAUAM after 5 years stamp expired. Got approval letter on 18th April 2018. Just send today €950 along with 2 passport size photos and orignal GNIB. Hopefully will be invited to next ceemoney as they mention in my approval letter. If you wish be in inclusion in next Citizenship ceremony it is essential that you submit the €950 naturalisation fee and the documents listed, no later that 10 days of this letter. Good luck to all.

I would say so. Although it is more than nothing, it does not seem to be the invitation.
