Hi you just need to make appointment online . On the appointed day bring your Irish child with you with his/her birth certificate , passport and a letter from school or Gp and original approval letter. Your passport and gnib card. It'll take nearly one hour and you're done. Thanks

Oh . Ok. Then it’s not a renewal, it’s new application. New application is currently taking more or less one year. I know 3 cases that took more than 1 year . Your case could be different as you were granted permission before.

Hi can you explain the cases that are taking one year? I submitted my case in September 2017. I’m a non eu national and father of irish citizen child. I cannot work because i have no work permit. I am in a relationship with the mother. I submitted everything as asked for on their application document check list. They asked for further documentation only a few weeks after my application and i sent them. They acknowledged receipt of the additional documents. Now I’m waiting. A year seems like a longtime for a straight forward application?

Hi zohaib
I am applying for zambrano renewal for my wife. She got stamp 4 for 1 year( zambrano base ) expiring in feb 2018.
She was asked in inis letter to apply 4 weeks before expiry.
My question is if she will get a longer permission this time ?

Don't need to apply to Department of Justice. If it is renewal, Simply go to your local immigration office along with that letter, own passport, evidence of your address, childbirth certificate and passport.
If a child in school or creche it is advisable to obtain a letter confirming his/her activity in the state .
feel free to ask if you have any more concerns

I applied on May 8th 2018 & got the acknowledgement by May 15th. Later they asked further documents which I provided and got their latest acknowledgement by June 15th. Afterwards, no communication from them. They didn’t ask for DNA yet. My Solicitor said Zambrano cases took 3 to 6 months but after reading this blog, I doubt his time period.
