My tier 5 visa expires on June 5th this year. My employer is happy to sponsor me but only from 22nd June. So I will have a slight gap between the two visas. The issue is I need to return home to apply for my tier 2 visa, and my employer will only give me leave in April to travel back and do so. I could travel back and apply after my tier 5 expires, however that will leave a lot to chance in the case my tier 2 application gets rejected.
Is it possible for me to travel outside the UK to file a Tier 2 from my home country before my T5 runs out? I will stay in my home country until my tier 2 application is fully processed and my passport is returned.
If my T2 is successful, it will mean I will hold a tier 5 visa valid until June 7th and a tier 2 visa vignette starting from 22nd June. Is this possible, or will my T5 be cancelled as soon as my T2 is approved? I will leave the UK during the gap between the two visas.
In the scenario that my Tier 2 gets rejected, will this affect my tier 5 at all?
