We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances, this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately, it appears your application will not be processed within the 6-month target.
This is because there has been an issue with the biometric enrolment of Mrs YX.
We expect to make a decision on your application by 7th March 2018 once your biometric enrolment issue has been resolved.

I contacted the Croydon council again they have my details to book a private ceremony I have to email them I emailed them already and got automatic message we will respond to your email in next 10 working days how is this private !!! There is any possibility to book a private ceremony with any other council or it has to be my local one?Bathroom11 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 3:02 pmThanks mate the whole process it feels like you are fighting with your shadow you can see it but you can't touch it haha
It has to be your local one unless you specifically stated in your AN form you wanted another venue. It is a long winded process to change ceremony venue.Bathroom11 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 3:03 pmI contacted the Croydon council again they have my details to book a private ceremony I have to email them I emailed them already and got automatic message we will respond to your email in next 10 working days how is this private !!! And spouse visa issued after appeal aug 2014... wil be considere as legal time??
I am worried
Please tell me what questioner they asked you
same as you, my case is straight forward. I applied in May 2017 still not decided yet.silverchloride wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 10:43 amHi guys (and especially gurus and mods)
Please could I get some advice.
Do you know of any cases which have taken more than 6 months and have had a straight forward decision. I'm now on 6 months, 15 days and have not had a decision yet. I recieved some generic letters saying that the application is undergoing 'good character checks' from national and international agencies and there's no time frame. I'm just worried that it will now be a long drawn out process. They haven't written to me asking for any information / questions or documentation.
I know some people get a letter nearer to the 6 month time, stating that their application is not straightforward (because of xyz) and thats why it will take longer. Or the HO asks for additional documentation / information.
Should I be worried? Or is it just a matter of waiting and seeing. I did email them a few times and asked my MP to write to them last week, but now wondering if that will make it worse? I seriously cannot think of why it is taking so long. My immigration history is fairly straight forward, Tier 4 (Student) > Tier 2 (General) > ILR and I have only ever studied or worked at the same institution (a University). Never had any immigration or legal complications whatso ever.
Any thoughts / suggestions will be very much appriciated.
Applied as 10 yr long residence.Tier4(MSc student ),Tier1(Post-study work visas),Tier4(PhD student).Never had any immigration or legal complications, I believe my case is straight forward, Contact the HO many time by email, and MP with no reply.silverchloride wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 2:43 pmThat's almost 10 months... crazy!
What is your immigration history? Did you have any communication with them? Do you have any inkling as to why they delayed it so much?
