When did you apply?

Did you apply for a tier 2 dependent visa?

On what basis did your husband get ILR, tier 2 with 5 years residence or ILR based on 10 years long residence?

If you leave the UK, your application will be withdrawn.

Has your previous visa already expired?

You should have applied in person for a same day decision then. Postal applications take 8 weeks.

If you withdrawn and leave the UK, you will have start again from scratch with a new 5 year residence period and a new entry clearance visa.

There is no guarantee that you will get your passport and BRP card back in time for your to travel. It usually takes 10 days or more.

How long are you planning to travel for?

Why did you apply by post if you knew you had travel plans?

You could have waited and submitted your application when you got back from your trip.

Thanks in response to your comments:
Q: Why did you apply by post if you knew you had travel plans?
Response: there was no premium appointments available in the next 45 days and before my current visa expires.

Q: You could have waited and submitted your application when you got back from your trip.
Response: my impression from my husband previous Tier 2 visa application was that you send the passport back while the visa application is being processed, so I could do my travel in parallel. Is that right?

Thank you

You should have kept checking and it nothing send your application after you returned.

No, it is not correct. HO keep your passport for the whole time while they process your application.
