Child ILR SET(O)

Post by bharathsb » Wed Mar 28, 2018 12:06 pm

Dear Forum members,

I am applying for ILR for my son who is 3 years old and was born outside of U.K.
- I am naturalised as a British citizen. I entered U.K. through Tier-1 General visa route
- My wife got ILR through PBS dependent route.
We are using Set(O) form to apply for my son’s ILR.

Now my queries are-
1. Will my son be the Main applicant in the Set(O) Form?
2. If Yes, then should we leave Section-2 blank?

Looking forward for your responses
Many Thanks!

Hi,

You need to give more details about the immigration history of all 3. Please include details such as when did you first come to this country, various visa applications/extendsions and from where it was applied. Month& Year in which your child was born etc.

With out that it will be difficult to comment.

None of this information is relevant to the OPs question.

You can also use Set(F) for the child.

Child is the main applicant yes.

Would have been simpler to include child with wife's ILR application.

Thanks CR001. When my wife applied for ILR, I was under the impression that my son could become eligible for registration as BC without the need for applying for ILR. But now I have learnt that it is safe to apply for my son's ILR prior to registering as BC. Hence I have to apply for his ILR separately now.

Thanks also for your advice on Set(F). I am evaluating both Set(F) and Set(O) now... have not made a decision yet.
