What has been your most recent update? - Waiting for submission to minister?

On Tuesday I called and a lady told me my file has been submitted to the minister for decision but she’s not sure when they’ll get it back. Today I called and another lady told me my file is still in processing and that it has not been submitted. I don’t even know who to believe anymore as I hear different response each day. So sick of it

Dont believe what they say ...

When you call all they do is find a way to finish the call in style like most customer service ..

They can only say if they sent a letter out , or they about to send a letter for approval.

Even if you approved they wont tell ya if they are not bout to send a letter. At this point we are getting close to ceremony ... they chances are now lower (to very lucky ones if spot are are still missing to be filled) invitations are out from next weeks they are sent 5-4 weeks

How can u even contact the citizenship office
I tried contacting them a number of times on the numbers that given on the website .
Either it’s goes to busy tone or just rings out.

Any hints to contact any other way .
I applied back in oct end but yet to get anything after 1st letter
Calling them is not help .
Pls suggest the number and timing of its different than the website

When calling the number, you have to keep trying until you get through. You could also send them an email with the address provided on their website http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/co ... itizenship. The response to emails are quite prompt usually within 24 hours.

last week from the e-mail i got they started sending invitations mostly. Because i asked my e-mail was sent on Friday 30th but they responded on Tuesday morning

My partner got his approval letter on 28th Feb (apprx) but hasn't received an invite. He emailed them yesterday and they said that he will be scheduled for the ceremony in Killarney in May. They said he would hear from them soon but didn't say that they had started sending invites yet.

Here is the e-mail i got :

Dear dummy ,

Thank you for your email. If your current permission to remain has expired
or is due to expire you should contact your local Immigration Officer to
look to get it renewed or to obtain permission endorsed on the passport as
proof of legal residence for the purposes of attendance at the citizenship
ceremony. You should advise that you are are being considered for inclusion
to attend the Citizenship Ceremony due to take place in the Killarney
Convention Centre on the 21/05/18.
Invitations to the next ceremony which will be held in Killarney on the
21st March will be issued from the next week.

I contacted them on Tuesday and I was told that it is in the final stage and we should hear back in 4 weeks.

From reading this forum it appears that a lot of people were told about the final stage and not sure what it exactly means.

I am in the same situation, i submit my application last year in May 2017
2 weeks ago i send email to citizenship office and i asked about status of my application, they told me that ""
my application is currently processing normal way with a view to establishing whether the applicant meets the statutory conditions for granting of naturalisation and will be submitted to minister for the descion when processing is complete""

Further processing LSR team

I am wondering do i expect for any approval for this coming cermony or not ? I dont know my case is on final stage or not.

I received second stage letter back on March 16 and approval on 19 April.

My subjective opinion is that all the approvals for the 21 May ceremony has been sent out. I could be wrong.

I know how frustrating it is to wait for any kind of letter from them, but please be patient! Yours is coming sooner that you expect!
