Redundancy on a Tier 2

Post by Sheaod » Wed Apr 11, 2018 5:01 pm

Hi everyone. I was recently made redundant after only having my visa for a few months (I got my visa at the end of January and was made redundant at the end of March). Does anyone know what my rights are for when my employment ends? How much time will I still have in the UK? I recently read something about the Tier 2 salary requirement being raised to 60k. Is this something that has already been implemented? Also, is there any opportunity to get the NHS fees I paid back? It seems unfair for the government to keep that money when I won't be here and won't have the visa anymore. Any advice on this situation is much appreciated! Thank you.

Nonsense. You have to paid per the salary scale in your SOC.

You can stay in the UK and look for a new sponsor until the time HO says you must leave in the curtailment letter. The letter can take many months to get sent to you and will give you 60 days before you must leave.
