Spouse Visa - Pakistan

Post by Seeker101 » Sat Apr 14, 2018 3:34 pm

Hello All,

I am looking to apply for a spousal visa for my spouse who is currently in Pakistan. I seem to have confused myself with all the information I am reading and wanted to get a checklist together to make sure that I haven't missed anything out and I would really appreciate some help and guidance on this.

I would also like to add it was an arranged marriage so is there anything I should be doing or looking out for to make sure that the application does not get rejected?

If there is anything I have missed out then please let me know.

So from my Spouse's side I need to following documents:

- Original passport (Is this needed and so will I need to bring it with me to the UK?)
- Passport copy (Do I need to copy every page?)
- Passport size photos (How many do I need?)
- Biometrics data (How is this done? Do I need to do this before or after the application)
- English A1 certificate + Photocopy
- TB certificate + Photocopy

Is this everything I need form my spouse?

My side:
- Original Passport
- Passport Copy (Do I need to copy every page)
- Passport size photos (How many do I need?)
- 6 months of wages + Photocopy
- 6 months of bank statements + Photocopy (Do these need to be signed by the bank?)
- letter of employment from employer

Is this everything I need to submit?

Other:
- The immigration health surcharge
- Extract of Whatsapp chat and call log
- Photos of wedding
- Wedding card invitation
- Nikah nama in English
- Housing report
- As I am living with my parents what information will they need to provide? Will title deeds and letter
confirming they would be happy to accommodate us be enough?

Is it correct that there is an online application form that I have to fill in and a printed version as well?

Thank you for any advice and help. I really appreciate it.

So from my Spouse's side I need to following documents:

- Original passport (Is this needed and so will I need to bring it with me to the UK?)
Applicant original passport has to be submitted during biometric at VAC
- Passport copy (Do I need to copy every page?)
- Passport size photos (How many do I need?)
Applicant's 2x passport sized pictures with name and date of birth written on the back of each
- Biometrics data (How is this done? Do I need to do this before or after the application)
Once online application has submitted then the next step is to book an appointment for biometric submission along with passport
- English A1 certificate + Photocopy
from UKVI approved centres
- TB certificate + Photocopy
from UKVI approved centre IOM

Is this everything I need form my spouse?

My side:
- Original Passport
you can send verified copy of your passport instead
- Passport Copy (Do I need to copy every page)
not sure about this
- Passport size photos (How many do I need?)
1x passport sized picture with name and date of birth written on the back side
- 6 months of wages + Photocopy
if payslips are electronically sent to you then it has to be verified by employer's stamp
- 6 months of bank statements + Photocopy (Do these need to be signed by the bank?)
printed bank statements has to be verified by bank's stamp
- letter of employment from employer

Is this everything I need to submit?
contract of employment
letter from employer confirming :
1. Employment and gross annual salary;
2. The length of employment;
3. The period over which I have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
4. The type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).
5. Confirming the printed payslips are authentic.

Other:
- The immigration health surcharge
- Extract of Whatsapp chat and call log
- Photos of wedding
- Wedding card invitation
- Nikah nama in English
marriage certificate issued by NADRA attested by Foreign Office Pakistan
- Housing report
- As I am living with my parents what information will they need to provide? Will title deeds and letter
confirming they would be happy to accommodate us be enough?
this is called No Objection Certificate(NOC)
if you financially support the applicant then provide proof

Is it correct that there is an online application form that I have to fill in and a printed version as well?

-
A nadra issued marriage certificate does not need any further attestation from anyone.

Amazing! Thank you for the help gimarwat.

@seagul so does this mean I don't need the NADRA certificate?

Spouse Visa clarification

Post by Seeker101 » Tue May 08, 2018 9:24 pm

Hello All,

I just have a few questions that I wanted to clarify.

- When submitting the documents is it ok to put them in plastic wallets?

- Should I make a photocopy of everything as I would ideally like the originals back?

- We have been chatting and calling through WhatsApp so when sending screenshots of our calls should I print
them one to a page or can I do 4 to a page as this will save paper?

- We have been chatting a lot on WhatsApp so I don't know if I should send everything as this could mean a lot of paper so is there a specific length of time/amount that I should send

- is this site useful to follow? weblink removed by moderator

- if not then is there an order that should I put everything?

Thank you very much

Another thing I forgot to ask

- Once I have completed the online form for the Visa do I then send of the documents or does my spouse at that point get the biometrics done and then I send the documents off?

- How many days do I have before the documents have to reach sheffield?

Thank you.
