Basic salary only. Bonus will be excluded.tier2genmisery wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:36 amif my salary is 53k base + bonus (non-guaranteed)
and if the job is in the banking sector (non-shortage and non-phd)
then what is my score for rcos? I don't know how it's calculated..
Not mine, this is somebody else's. But the funny thing is there is someone who got approval, non shortage with 50 points. So I wonder if HR's messing it up.firefreezer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:27 amR u sure aravind05? can you please double check? was it rejected or refused? what is your salary again?
Maybe they did their paperwork wrong and it was a rejection
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that other post about being refused at 50 but then I checked my emails and I got my confirmation! Not sure what’s going on there...
asked for a friend. not me.CR001 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:42 amBasic salary only. Bonus will be excluded.tier2genmisery wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:36 amif my salary is 53k base + bonus (non-guaranteed)

Read through the thread, the calculation has been posted more than once.
However, last year July you were posting about applying for ILR??

Then kindly state you are asking on behalf of someone else or ask said 'friend' to register and ask their own questions as it is their application that is at stake.tier2genmisery wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:46 amasked for a friend. not me.CR001 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:42 amBasic salary only. did not want to create a new account just to ask this simple question. we couldn't find where the calculation is...
Yep, also very true.sptula wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:34 amHopeful42 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:30 amSo it looks like the cut off score might be around the 55 mark (or maybe a tiny bit lower if that 52k application was rejected and not refused)?
People will say it's shocking but I think it's pretty much expected for a few reasons:
1. Everyone seemed to be eyeing April as the month to apply thinking that with the new quota and more RCoS available it would be the best month to get through, so they would have been inundated with a tonne of applications.
2. We know from questions here from posters that following the trends of January and February quite a few employers were increasing salaries to 50k+ to get RCoS - this would have just created more of a backlog in the 50s.
3. April has traditionally been a big recruitment month for nurses as it is - and since the cold weather has hung around the UK for a long time this year the winter pressures period has extended leading to the need for even more nurses.
As someone with points in the lowish 30s I'm sort of second guessing how long I want to keep going with this. It's going to be a loooooooooong time, if ever I, and people on similar points get through. Honestly if it wasn't because I already had a life in the UK and people expecting me back I certainly wouldn't be bothering with all this and sort of every passing day I'm feeling more "meh" about going back.
Very True analysis.... it may take another 4-5 months for 30s to get approved probably
Not to forget, there has been a big chunk os people waiting between the points 35-45 who were never approved in last 5 months
I don't have much hope as I'm on the bottom of the heap, points wise.Amrita30j wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:52 amIt seems £50,000 - £54,999 band has gone through. Hopefully £45,000-49,999 band should go through so that others will see great chances in May. Come on guys don't loose hope. April anyways realistically was impossible because of the backlogs and shortage etc. see it as a positive news and pray for £45,000-49,999 band, because after this band there wont be huge salary gap group I mean it will be £44-44,999 and so on.. I myself applying since Jan with 40 points.

I'm not so sure if this is how the case-workers in HO process the applications as I was told they get random applications equally distributed among them, and process it at their own speed.Amrita30j wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:52 amIt seems £50,000 - £54,999 band has gone through. I am refused on 37 points
Nobody knows! Right now the cut-off seems to be 50 points (with people with 50 points minimum getting the certificate), but as not everyone knows their results so this could dip a bit lower.
