Urgent! Tier 2 ICT Dependent visa

Hi ,

I have applied for Tier 2 ICT dependant visa on 6th April 2018 . I have received email from VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk on 17th April that "Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer".

May I know how many days it will take to dispatch the passport. Please let me know as it's emergency.

It says her application is being considered. It has not been decided yet. It will take as long as it needs to take and you will be notified when it is sent back to the application centre.

It's already 10 working days. Since I applied on 6 April 2018. So can I expect my passport in this week?

Probably not as it hasn't been decided and finalised yet.

Sailing in same boat. There is urgent travel requirement, however uncertain on how much time would the passport take to reach back in our hands.

I was hoping that assessment will be done at Chennai. but looking at "from" email id and various old posts in goggle, seems like application has gone to Sheffield,UK.

100% of applications are processed within 15 days.

Actually it should take 15 working days right? Again asked to rescan TB doc. But why? Taking the 15days consideration everything is planned at my end.

3. Have you applied for Standard service or Priority service?

I have applied for my spouse and son for tier 2 general dependent visa, standard service - from bangalore on APril 13th. Still waiting for any further update.

Received email from Sheffield for TB report to our personal email id. We have sent. But no reply from them. Applied for standard service.

All the best. I understand only settlement applications go to Sheffield, UK. I fail to understand why our General Tier 2 dependent visa application went to Sheffield. It should have rather gone to Chennai!!

Can anyone give an insight on what kind if applications go to Sheffield? Recently my colleague also applied for Tier-2 dependent visa for spouse and kid, and it went o Chennai.

Frustrated... No update , it's 14th day. I really don't understand why is the delay? I have travelled many times. But never experienced like this. Atleast they should keep us informed on the status.

This is really bad I am also waiting. This waiting time is killing me, with no updates via sms or email.
Since its already 15 days, you can escalate your case. But for that you have to call their paid service. I had called to check early this week for my dependents, and they said I can escalate after entire 15 working days are over.

Did you get your application escalated by calling UKVI?
Did you opt for passport collection from VFS or by courier?
Did you get any notifications by email or sms ?

I didn't call . I thought of calling today.
By courier I received. No notification at all from VFS.
