ILR doesn't expire, only your BRP which will need to be replaced with a new one (in the same way in which a passport or driving licence has to be renewed).Candydaniels wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 11:53 amThanks cyclina for your response. Maybe I didn't ask the question correctly. I want to find out if I should try applying again now instead of waiting for the 10 years to pass as I was advised in the letter that my application is likely to be refused if I applied again within before the end of 10 years?
Secondly, my indefinite leave to remain expires in 2023. Waiting for your response.
You would likely fail the Good Character requirement because of the failure to disclose the police caution. Your only practical option is to wait until 2025. There are less practical options, but they are very likely doomed expensive options.Candydaniels wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 12:38 pmPlease what about the answer for the other question. Any idea?
Is not it 10 years from the offence not from the refusal date?ouflak1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 12:54 pmYou would likely fail the Good Character requirement because of the failure to disclose the police caution. In this case, isn't the refusal due to omitting a material fact, and not because of the caution? If that's the case, the application was refused on the grounds of misleading information. In such cases, what date applies? 2013 (police caution) or 2015 (hiding material facts)?engrwaseem85 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:03 pmIs not it 10 years from the offence not from the refusal date?ouflak1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 12:54 pmYou would likely fail the Good Character requirement because of the failure to disclose the police caution. That depends on whether you're happy to lose your application fee.Candydaniels wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 9:30 pmThanks everyone. The refusal was based on not disclosing the caution according to the letter. And it states 10 years from the date of the letter.
Was just wondering if I should try again and disclose it instead of waiting till 2025. Too far.
