What does it mean for the oversubscribed tier 2 visa quota? And any thoughts on how soon things might change?

This is great news! Hopefully it works in our favour. Unfortunately right now its all about the wind-rush scandal.We just need to shift the attention to this tier 2 visa fiasco!

I can’t see this changing anything, at least not quickly in a time period that would help any of our situations.

We need to remember that the same government with the same targets are still in office. Any changes would still have to go through them which will take time (if they happen at all).

Also they have far more pressing issues at the moment. Especially with Windrush because these people are actually British citizens so the new secretary’s priority will (rightfully) be with them for now.

I don’t want to sound negative but I really wouldn’t be advising you pin any hopes or make any plans re being in the UK any quicker just based on this news. I hope I’m wrong but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
