If you overstay your visitor visa you be illegally resident in the UK. You will be unable to rent accommodation, work, open a bank account, have free access to NHS medical services or hold a UK driving licence. Not much of a life, always looking over your shoulder to avoid being detected by the UK Border Police/Home Office. :!:

You will be unable to apply for any other visa category while in the UK as a visitor.

Unfortunately, this an example of how genuine visitors are finding it difficult to obtain a visa.

Visitors pay for NHS services except in the A&E.

Overstayers (longer than 30 days) are subject to at least a year re-entry ban.

They face a misguided hostile environment.
