EEA 3 application help please going to apply PR

hi All !!
first of all thank you very much providing us such a great information about immigration matters. this site helps a lot and doing great job in community.
now i come to my question.i am polish national. and i am going to apply PR for my self only. i have been in UK since 2011 and self employed cleaner. i have paid all my taxes and self assessment through out all 7 years and also i have invoices and agreements profit and loss account from the accountant.
But problem is with my bank statements.I receive my payments from client cash in hand. Initially i did not know that putting money in bank is so much important and HO refuse the applications if you not run your bank account and if income not corroborate with bank statements. I do not have the up to dated bank statements for qualified 5 years. only last one and half year bank statements corroborate with invoices and running for daily basis. Other than my bank statements not running at all for rest of period .
Should i include 5 years bank statements which will have difficulty in positive result I suspect or should i submit 1 and 1/2 year bank statements are OK??. or Should I only submit last 6 months bank statements?? for PR application. what way would be better.
please help i am very confused about this matter. thank you very much once again.
