Re-enter UK as traveller visa

Post by fishermanG » Thu May 10, 2018 12:45 pm

I am a foundation year doctor on Tier 4 general student visa and planning to leave this country for good after that. My work is due to finish on the 31st July and my visa is expiring on the 1st September 2018 so I have about a month.

I am wondering if it is possible to leave the UK for a short trip and re-enter UK before my visa expires so I can get a couple more months to sort out of my belongings and do my last EU travelling before I leave.

I am not sure if calling UKBO for advice is a good idea since the border agency don't hold accountability of what the officers on the phone says.

Will they allow me to enter on traveller visa while my Tier 4 is still valid? or will it just invalidate my tier 4 visa automatically?or do I have to re-enter as traveller visa only after my Tier 4 expires?

Anyone had similar situation and managed to get the traveller visa?

Thanks for helping.
