Hi Gurus,
Please HELP!!
I am in a situation of renewing my Tier 2 Extention in Middle of June.
But my employer(HR) forgot to give a request for UCoS renewal upon before 6th April.
However, they applied a 2 week ago, is there any issue to get my UCoS as have not given an annual allocation.
Please advise so I can be a piece of mind.
Many Thanks,
Krish

If you are only looking to extend, you don't need a RCOS. you will need a Unrestricted COS. for which the employer can raise it any time and there is no time limit of raising it before the 6th of every month.

If you read the posts again, you will see the OP has stated it is a UCoS!!

Yes Cr001. i just wanted to make it explicit that timeline for raising cos ( 5th / 6th of each month) applies only to RCOS and not for UCOS.

The OP is asking about the time for the sponsor to get their annual UCoS allocation as they neglected to request it.

I could be completely wrong here. Apologies if i am.
I thought when a sponsor acquires sponsorship for the first time, they can request for x number of certificates. I wasn't aware of the fact that, they need to request x number each year.
Also, in the below link it doesn't say that explicitly.

well if they applied via priority phone line (+ 200 GBP) then it'll take around 3 weeks (can be longer) otherwise it might take up to 8 weeks

NO, they have not applied via Priority Service. just requested over the SMS only. So worrying now?
Would that be an issue? as I needed to apply by the middle of June.
What can be done now?

I am switching employers and they had the same issue. They applied via SMS and also emailed
BusinessHelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and it got assigned last saturday.
Took about 2 weeks in total.

well to be honest I'm not sure if they can now use priority route after initial application so I'd suggest You to contact HR and ask them to check their options with HO
