Childs visa given, Wifes isnt... vignette running out.

Hello.

Me and my Wife are about to have mental breakdown.

She with our kiddo is in Russia I am in UK. They have applied (Biometrics) on 1.2.18.

Child (8 years old) got given his visa on 30th of April with 30 day vignette. My Wife hasnt got given hers and on phone and email I have been told that they havent even maid up their mind yet.

So child cant travel on his visa without her. And I understand that his vignette can be extended at the cost of £170(ish) for 30 days.

But what is there to stop then dragging out her visa for months and then rejecting it in the end? I have already spent around 10-12k on visa related stuff. I do not want to be paying any more for their delays and incompetence and still have no light at the end of the tunnel.

What can I do? Who do I speak to?

It's very strange that they should grant the child's leave before the parent. Usually, if the parent fails, then the child would fail too.

Indeed. And now we are confused and worried.

We have 11 days left until vignette on kids visa runs out. We were expecting my wifes visa to follow shortly but so far nothing. It has already been almost a month over due.

I just dont know what to do. UKVI call centre doesnt have any information. They just escalated the case (whatever that means).

If my wife gets her visa in (for example) 3 months time do I have to transfer vignette 3 times or can I just get a new one once in 3 months time?
