28 Days gap between Tier2 VISA expiry & Tier4 Course Start Date

Hello All,

I am currently in UK on Tier2 ICT (main applicant) VISA and looking to pursue masters.
I shall need to switch to the Tier 4 VISA category. My current VISA expiry is on 28th-Aug-2018 and the course start date is 01-Oct-2018.

As per Tier4 Guideline, "If you are applying to continue your studies in the UK, your new course
must start within 28 days of the expiry of your permission to stay or, if
you overstayed, within 28 days of when that period of overstaying
began.".

I am in doubt, whether the above rule applies on for Tier4 extension or all the VISA switch to Tier 4.
Can someone suggest, if I can make my Tier 4 VISA application inside UK ?

Not if the gap is more than 28 days, no.
