The guidance says an outcome will be notified to applicant via SMS today
It definitely won't be everyone though. Pretty sure it depends on the number of points you have as well. Those with higher points will probably get notified sooner, since they process fewer applications to get to that point.

Hello Guys. It's been around 4 months i have been waiting for RCOS which is unlikely i am going to get with just 30 points. But recently i was updated that company is applying from the shortages list , i don't they if they are lying , they never told me my points just they keep on telling they are trying to get a visa. Now i am totally confused. Is it clear that RMLT done was for the position that is not under shortage occupation , I am graduate electrical engineer and hired ny automotive manufacturing company. does it make any sense here ?
any idea guys ?

Hi,

My employer has applied for my Rcos this month with SOC code 2136. Employer informed RLMT is not required as applying under shortage occupation.

Is anyone aware of the points in this case?

Good luck for all applicants!

Regards,
Yojana
As already advised last month, I don't believe your job under 2136 with the NHS falls under SOL.

Hi,

Thank you for response. I had a discussion with my employer and it is not under NHS but under some trust. They have applied the application with that trust name. I am really not sure whether it falls under SOL.
I would like to know on how can I search for the companies which can provide job under SOL.

Thanks,
Yoj

Hi Yoj

Some jobs in SOC code 2136 are on the shortage occupation list:

2136 Programmers and software development professionals

Only the following jobs in this occupation code:

Senior developer employed by a qualifying company, where the job requires a person with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience and demonstrable experience of having led a team.

The following jobs in visual effects and 2D/3D computer animation for the film, television or video games sectors:

software developer
shader writer
games designer
The following jobs in the electronics system industry:
driver developer
embedded communications engineer

For the senior developer role you must be a “qualifying company” meaning a company which:
(a) has obtained permission from the Home Office to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship in respect of the relevant job on the basis that the job is included on the Shortage Occupation List and the company:
(i) is licensed as a sponsor for the purposes of Tier 2 of the Points Based System,
(ii) at the time of obtaining such permission, employs between 20 and 250 employees (inclusive), or employs fewer than 20 employees and has provided a letter from the Department for International Trade, confirming that the Department has been working with the company and supports the application in relation to its trade or investment activity,
(iii) is not more than 25% owned by a company which has one or more other establishments in the UK and one of those establishments employs more than 250 employees; and
(iv) has not been established in the UK for the purpose of supplying services exclusively to a single company or company group in the UK; and
(b) will have no more than ten Tier 2 (General) Migrants working for it at any one time in jobs to which the requirement to be employed by a qualified company applies, if all Certificates of Sponsorship in respect of such jobs lead to a grant of leave as a Tier 2 (General) Migrant.

This is the Rule For SOC Code 2136 as SOL

Hope it would be helpful for you

Hi,

Thank you for the response. The issue I don't know whether my employer satisfies the above criteria. When I asked them, they said they have applied for jobs falling in SOL before and hence applied mine in same. They are not sure of my points as well. I hope somehow I will get to hear positive news soon.

Thanks,
Yoj

May I know if there is an email sent from Home Office directly to you or to your employer first? Thanks

Employers will get an email notifying them of the success or failure of the rCOS anywhere from today until 2 weeks from now. We won't know the cap until likely nearer the end of the month, as has been the case for the past few months.

This month could be great for people with 45 points because the RLMT platform has been changed from UJM to Find a job, so companies take time to go live with thier process I don't see approvals for points below than that am sorry to disappoint you with my assessment.

There will be some change in tier 2 visa system we need to see whether they gonna help only doctors or they help business as well, having said that even they exempt all SOL jobs still we need to wait couple of months for 45 to go through. Long wait ahead embrace yourselves. Am used to it from past 6 months.

Hi,

I agree with you, I think this month we will have a score between 45 to 50.

Same here. Waiting with 50 points applying for second time. Employer says expecting results in next 5 days.

This month seems hopeful considering 60 points approved on first day. All the best everyone.

Hi,
I am on 40 points and my employer told my application is in pending status as of today .
Can I assume that my application will not be considered for this month?

Thanks

As today its day one of assigning cos by the home office, its a good news that an application with 60 points has been approved. Hopefully the points should go down till 40 and probably with 30 points you ll ve a better chance next month.
