I want to just say something and put this out somewhere-
I REALLY WANT THIS TO BE OVER FOR EVERYONE STUCK BUT SPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN STUCK SINCE DECEMBER. THIS IS JUST UNFAIR. IF THERE IS SOME HIGHER POWER, THIS WILL BE OVER SOON!
And I know this is stupid, but just wanted to say it. Thats all.
Im sorry again.
I think they clearly mentioned new rules are effective from 6 july , so even may speaks and says immediate that is i think from july. and i am from 29 points i will be more happy if it's from june.
If you guys will read the change that has been implemented, the change says that how doctors and nurses no longer require a 'certificate of sponsorship'. The change (in the official immigration rules) does not say that the doctors and nurses will be exempted from the cap but still need a cos. So please understand, that YES, the change with regard to applications of doctors and nurses will be treated to not require a COS from 6th july, the change with regard to doctors and nurses requiring a COS is IMMEDIATE. There is no contradiction in what May has said and what the rules specify.
Read the official immigration rules for better understanding. Dont go by media articles! Since doctors and nurses no longer require a COS, they will be out of the cap immediately i.e. from June 15, 2018. And that is why the HO is taking this long to notify employers.
Hope and pray this is the reason. however i understood only your last paragraph.

It is a bit like a riddle.
From 6th July, all doctors and nurses will not need a CoS to get their visa.
Theresa May said 'doctors and nurses have been taken out of the cap with immediate effect.'
Doctors and nurses applying in June still need a CoS. Optimist is saying that these doctors and nurses will get a CoS but be exempt from the cap.
I hope that it is true - there are at least 1000 doctors and nurses combined a month

Sorry to a pessimist to the optimist, but to me immediate means from today which is for all applications between 6th June and 5th July, so would apply at July Meeting. They had the June meeting on the 11th already and the CoS have all been assigned. I highly doubt the will re-do it.

It might well be - however this month does seem to have longer wait time than previous months

Nobody knows. The Sun was reporting the change would occur "with immediate effect" LAST WEEK, before the rule change was released

And as a native speaker, it sounds unlikely that when Theresa May says 'we have removed doctors and nurses from the Tier 2 visa cap with immediate effect,' she was referring to today, the day she made the speech. it does not make sense, especially in the context that the rule change was announced days before.

The only thing that is very clear to me is that this month, the HO response rate is slow....refusals and issuance of COS. Let's wait and see what this means... We hope the delay works in our favour.

It seems like even people on SOL are experiencing considerable amount of delays this month...

I am also on SOL, 2136 job code, but my employer haven't heard anything back from solicitors who represent his firm. Last month, HO raised couple of objections on my application so I am a bit nervous regarding this month's application as well.

Hello everyone. I have been following this forum closely.. I am a doctor with NHS and my gross payscale is above 60k but unfortunately half of it is shown as banding(43+21).. I am assuming for this reason i ve been rejected cos consecutively since Jan despite banding being a guaranteed income.. Its rejected again this month and I am assuming its cos my HR has shown it as 43+21k again despite my best efforts... So my points will be around 43.. if not it should ve been accepted... So people around 40s should prepare for next month i suppose... I think me being a doctor my cos will be sorted out next month... Best wishes to all

BTW just to clarify - is you application was rejected or refused? There is a big difference.

Hi everyone. Just FYI I just had an email exchange with my immigration consultant (hired by my employer) and they said they haven’t heard anything back from the home office for anyone with a salary of 50K. They’re a very large company and I imagine have a lot of people like us. So not sure whether that’s a good or bad sign.

So, the deduction, based on the last few posts is that
1) Doctors and nurses will not be excluded from the cap in June.
2) COS requests with 43 points have been rejected, but no news for 50 and 55 points. Isn't this odd? :-\

What is a banding and how did you get your points as 43 points?

Guys i guess people are assuming too much now. As we can clearly see that after day 2 no one has received approvals or refusals yet. That means there is something going on in the back end and home office is taking time to sort that out. Just have some patience as we can do nothing but wait.
