I applied in early October 2017. Received a letter in April 2018 but it didn't explicitly reference the words "2nd stage" - rather;

"Your application for naturalization is currently being processed in the normal way with a view to establishing whether your meet the statutory conditions for the granting of naturalization and will be submitted to the Minister for decision when processing is complete.

If further documentation and/or clarification of any matter related to your application for naturalization is required from you we will be in touch with you in the coming weeks."

Did your letters say something different?

I'm also getting the same generic email responses - I contact them monthly by email and it's the same "your application continues to be processed" reply.

Has anyone any idea why applications are taking so long? My wife’s been waiting a year now and still no result what a bloody joke 🙄😡

My wife applied in July last year . The response we got is that it is being prepared for submission to the minister.

I assume all those who got approval after applying in 2017 must be busy attending the ceremony today ;)

I received my approval letter on 7th November but unfortunately wasn’t included in the yesterday’s ceremony.
