Passport application - HMPO Birth Confirmation Letter

Post by Khurram545 » Tue Jun 26, 2018 2:59 am

Hi ,

I have applied for first family passports, i have missing original Birth Certificate few years back for one of our child. interestingly we provided photocopies of during ILR and BC App which was accepted but HMPO sent letter saying "I need you to confirm date of birth of ......."

During application , In covering letter I have explained situation that duplicate Birth Cert. cant be issued outside of native country and one of parent must have to be there to get (2-10 days process).
however I have provided her
original passports which mentioned DOB ,
photocopies of Birth Cert by Govt and hospital.
Family Registration / Tree Certificate
Invitation letter for B.C.

not sure how can I satisfied Passport officer apart from above documents.

Please assist.

Write another letter to confirm child's date of birth?

Not sure why original passports were insufficient for them?

Was the child registered or automatically British?

Even Certificate of registration mentioned DOB and place of birth .. why can't they cross check ...

Passport if most valuable document produced to a citizen by a govt. and that has same DOB.

Yes. They should go by the registration document and passport.
Try writing another letter letter to confirm child's date of birth?

It looks like they are being pedantic.

It would depend what time you sent it at post office and what their last pick up time is.
