Dear all,
Background:
I was granted DL to remain as a parent to a child with British nationality. He is now 9 years Old.
My first DL to remain was in May 2012
I renewed it in 2015 and the second DL was granted till August 2018.
I am in full time employment and my child lives with me.
I intend to apply for ILR in July 2018
Question:
Do I need to include in my application the Life in the UK test? I actually have not done it but been reading to take the test asap incase I need to.
Also regarding the English Language requirement, am I exempt from taking it if I have a degree qualification from a UK University?
If I need to prove it, would sending my award certificates be sufficient or do I need to prove through other channels?
Apologies if my questions seem silly. Issue is I am not sure if the Life in the UK test and English is a mandatory requirement for ILR applicants who are applying through the transitional route or any ILR application generally.
I have been reading through posts but unfortunately have not been able to find the answer as people's circumstances are unique.
Please help.
Thank you
