April 2018 Naturalization application

Post by ILRasi » Wed Jul 04, 2018 9:40 pm

Hi,

I have applied for naturalization on 24th April 2018 but still not received approval.
Is there any home office contact details to ask for an update?

Thanks.

My wife applied on same date. Still waiting. They advise not to contact them prior to 6 months lapse, when was your passport fee deducted?

Hi,

I applied using NDRS [online application] on 21st of April and HO received the documents on Tuesdat 24th of April. Passport fee deducted on 29th of May and i received Approval letter on Monday 2nd of July.

So it takes normally a month after passport fee deduction.

Best of luck and i hope you hear a good news soon.

Thanks

Hi

there is a possibility that this is the reason for the delay. on average after passport fee deduction it takes around 4 weeks [ that's what my observation is from different timeline threads]

I am curious whether UKVI actually sends out a "non-straight forward" letter if they aren't going to make a determination within 6 months, like their website says: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... -standards

Migration data shows that UKVI makes a determination for almost all straight forward cases within the 6 months: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... a-may-2018

I applied on April 8. So, if I wasn't going to hear in the next few months, then I should have received a letter (at least per the policy).

There is already a topic about some delays, we don't need yet another one.
