considering that invitations are sent from 4 weeks in advance, I highly doubt there will be a ceremony in July.

I am not sure if there is going to be any soon. I got a letter confirming the reciept of my 950 and other documents.
"Please find application fee receipt for 950 enclosed for our records. there are no dates set for any future ceremonies yet. As soon as one has been announced it will appear on our website. This office will be in touch in due course. "
please quote your ref number on all correspondence with this office."

Has any one come across this?

When did you apply, what was the basis of your application and when you got this letter?

Bullet point three on the Approval letter states that you should note that once you submit your original GNIB card, it will no longer be made available to you for travel and other purposes. From experience INIS will not issue another card but can stamp your passport for work related purposes.

Contacted the citizenship office, they are not aware of any ceremony in near future and asked to check the inis website for updates

I have emailed them and got the same response as above, that they do not have any upcoming date for 2018, which makes me think if we're only gonna have 2 ceremonies this year?

Obviously, there will be another one this year. It is impossible they'd only have 1... :|

Even I wonder if there would be 2 ceremonies this year.
Does anyone know if we could contact some TD/politician and ask them about the ceremony dates?

what makes you think so?
We could easily have a ceremony for September/October announced sometime in August and then another ceremony fro November/December announced sometime in October.

In 2016, there was ceremony in September, and couple of weeks later they announced another one late November

Looking at last year dates, they had the second ceremony in June. It's already July and there is no announcement yet. The first ceremony of this year which was scheduled on May 21st, the date were announced in March.
So I'm assuming they announce the date a couple of months in advance. Even if they do so in August, it might be scheduled for October/November. That's the reason I felt there could be 2 ceremonies this year.

I hope I would be proved wrong though :) and we have 3 ceremonies this year.

I always assumed there could be a small ceremony in September. But by the look of things, it might be in November.
