Please post only relevant facts and questions. Let us not get into any off topic debates like last month and make ourselves helpless by getting the topic locked

Hi All

I also have similar query. I was informed by my employer that changes in the policy i.e. doctors and nurses will be removed from the quota from August.

Tried to work it myself and found out that some changes would be applicable from 6 July onwards and for some previous immigration rules would be applied.

Not sure which section pertains to us. Would be glad if anyone can shed some useful highlights.

As per Home office statement the changes come into effect from 6th July.

As always said nobody can really predict the cut off, but taking into facts like doctors and nurses especially getting moved out of the quota and also the unused COS from April to June [generally this count is nearly 300] adds to the available cos count for July. I definitely hope it will come down to 50 and below at least this time.

I'm surprised your employer said from August. My company has hired an well-known immigration consultancy who told me the changes would apply for the July RCOS allocations. Has anyone else heard August? I'm also in the 50 points bracket

Hi,

I have raised same question in month of June. But many of them confidently replied it is applicable for July COS allocation.Still its out our hands now and can't change anything for this month rather wait for outcome.

My employer has received queries again, even though we'd provided the information to the same queries about 5 months ago.

It was being refused for last 5 months, so I assumed the information we sent earlier were okay as there were no counter questions raised by HO.

Anyone with similar situation?

We've been asked randomly to provide additional information over the last few months - there doesn't really seem to be any consistency. You can always check to see if your application is valid by emailing them.

Have been applying since December with 30 points, hopeful for some changes in the next couple months.

My employer has re-applied this month with 60K Salary which sum to 60 points. I am non NHS, Non Sol.

Hoping 60 points should go through this month. I am sure that new Visa rules are applicable from 6th July, and also one more interesting thig is nearly 100 certficates has been carried of from june as well.

Hi All,

My employer is applying in July, and then in August with the salary of 40k GBP. Non NHS, Non PhD, Non SOL. Any chances to get through in either month?

Any response would be appreciated.

Hi Batman, We can't really predict anything at this point as we have to see how the change in policy is going to work. We really have to wait till next week to have a proper picture. Removing doctors and nurses is really a positive thing and it may help others. I am waiting since December, hoping for a positive response this time. It has been a tough 6 months for all of us.
Thanks and Regards

Looks like an Individual made a FOI request to the Home Office to get the specific numbers for the May allocation. The result came in on June 26th. You can find it here.

see: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ion_for_ti
Or Google: FOI "Rejected rcos application for Tier 2 visa"

and Yes there is already a FOI request in (on July 4) for the specific June results but that reply wont come out till end of July (20 working days after the request).

see: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... _june_2018
or Google: FOI "Number of RCOS JUNE 2018"

If you want specifics by SOC to get an idea of how many peeps are applying in each SOC the data for Feb. March and April is available

see: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... allocation
or Google: FOI "Tier 2 RCOS Allocation"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nearly 750 certificates each month is given to nurses and doctors. That is a hugely positive number. Hope I am not missing anything in my calc.
