Get the MP involve in this, i'm sure he/she should be able to do something and do complaint. I'm in the process to meet my local MP very soon. When they requested my wife's TB certificate again, they didn't supplied an email address where i can reply to.
When I escalated it, i had a response on the 21st May that all checks are complete and it is in a queue for a final assessment, and it has been 7 weeks after that....
Really. What is taking them so long I just don't get it.. just keep calling them. Even though I feel like that doesn't work. I made a complaint the other day because it really is unfair that they just keep us out of the loop with everything, even though it is our application!
Yes I know im sure they should be able to give is some more info then awaiting descision.... I haven't approached my NO yet... But seems like There no help either
I meant I haven't approached my MP yet**

So now it has been 61 working days (over 12 weeks) I emailed ukvi on 1st July and this is what they replied:
Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.
With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.
Please note that for a settlement VISA can take up to 60 working days as priority service is not guaranteed.
It is now over 60 working days since biometrics. Now what?? How can they take your money and not guarantee priority?? How can it even take this long?? Do they even care??

Hi,
I would like to share my experience with you and I hope it might help some.
I gave my biometrics on Oct 16th 2017 and only got the visa today. It took around 8 months for them to process the visa. I received a non straightforward email on 4th of January 2018. We tried every way we could in this 8 months. We escalated tge case for 6 times but no use. We contacted the MP on April 18th 2018 and he told us he will send a letter. However we are not sure whether he sent or not. After 20 working days we asked the MP whether he got any reply and he said no. Later he said he will talk with the Immigration MP or Minister. On June 6th we recieved a email from MP confirming that he has written to the Home office. On June 7th we made a complaint through the online system mentioning our timeline. They take 20 working days to respond to a complaint. On June 25th we got an email from Visa sheffield saying that they can assure that our application is dealt and will make a decision in the coming days. It was sent as a reply to our contact centre enquiry which we didnt make. Yesterday I got a message from VFS to collect the passport and today I collected and got the Visa. It was a long wait. We were stressed, we lost our patience and were even planning to withdraw the application. However finally we got it. I dont know which helped us the complaint or the MP s letter. So try all the ways possible and be patient and dont lose hope. You will all get your visas eventually and I hope and pray it comes soon.
Could you please share the online complaint link please. Thank u

Did u complain on behalf of ur husband

Hi,
I am new to this so I am not sure if I have posted in the right place, apologies if I have not.
Timeline:
My husband and I made an application for him to join me in the UK
Application made on 28 January 2018
Biometrics - 6 February 2018
UKVI returned our supporting documents on 9 March 2018
Not straight forward email received on 27 April 2018
As you can see we have now waited 107 working days since the date of the biometrics. We have escalated the case 3 times - to which UKVI only respond by saying it is still being assessed. My MP also got involved and when UKVI got back to him they just said we have to wait as the case is complex. They have not contacted us asking for additional documents, nor have they contacted my managers. Our case is very simple and so I am not sure what is complex about it. Only thing that is making us very nervous and stressed is that my husband's visa in Australia expires in September 2018 and his passport expires in October 2018. We have informed UKVI of this multiple times but they really don't care. It doesn't really make sense because he wouldn't be able to travel with an expired passport anyway and it takes 3 months to renew his passport from Australia...
Has anyone waited this long yet? What is the maximum time UKVI can take to make a decision? We have lost hope and are now thinking to withdraw the application and for me to go to Australia then maybe apply to the UK again from there. Which I really don't want to do! Ah!
Thanks
Well...im here on 173 working days meaning 9 months...and still awaiting decision when one of my child is british citizen and her visa to the us has expired and me and my other two kids are us citizens...they just keep telling us its complex and they need more time...so i just pray for everyone that hopefully they have some mercy on us...It is really hard to get through this...just pray and dont stress as I've stressed and got nothing but end up in hospital...be patient...'
We think that our applications are lear and are not complex..but they might find something wierd so tehy have to do thier check..ive given my self this hope and just have left it to god..Inshallah Allah help us all and theyll decide soon for us...
Keep me in ur prayers..All the best

You can try calling them, in reply of the email they say if you dont get reply after 2 working days ring us. They do charge £1.37/m. You wont get the answer you are looking for but you would find out what stage is your application at.
They didn't included a reply email address in email they sent me asking for my wife's TB cert again... weired people

My partner received the following SMS earlier today “The processed visa application for GWF**** will be delivered to the chosen address”.
Today is the 74th working day since biometrics. After contacting UKVI a number of times and getting my MP involved, finally the passport is on its way.
Inshallah the visa is granted and also for those who are waiting.

It was my MP’s secretary who contacted UKVI on the same day i called him. He said it takes weeks for a response if a MP writes to the home office. He called UKVI and also emailed them to send the passport back. They have a different number which they call on. The secretary was very helpful.

The MP’s secretary called and emailed UKVI last Wednesday. (69th working day). He did everything very quickly. I called him and within 20 mins he had already called and emailed them.
The first time UKVI were called they said we had to wait 9 days, so after 9 days the secretary called them again. UKVI were told to immediately send the passport back as we are getting married in two weeks.
One week on, my partner received the sms. I am unsure if the MP contacting them had a impact on them sending the passport back.
One thing to mention is that the MP secretary was also told that June and July are the busiest periods for UKVI. They process thousands of applications during this time. This affects a lot of applications.
