Must dependant visa be applied in home country?

Post by jellyrim » Sun Mar 06, 2005 2:18 am

I have just got HSMP approved. My wife is holding a student visa which will be expired ealier than my one year HSMP visa. Could anyone kindly tell me if we can have her visa switched to dependant visa without going back to our home country? If yes, which application should we make? We are both non-EEA. Thank you so much!

Such an application would be considered on a concessionary basis outside the rules if it is after your HSMP visa has been granted. It is preferable to include her in your initial HSMP FLR (IED) application as a dependent.
