So my wife was granted a dependent visa and we have both fulfilled the 4 years 11 months and 2 days requirement. Our in-person appointment is scheduled on 26/7. I am filling in the Set(O) form. Our child was born in the UK so we intend to apply for naturalization immediately after I get a positive decision letter for settlement (will HO have an objection with that?).
Am I correct in understanding that I only need to fill in one Set(O) for myself and spouse details and not a separate Set(O) for spouse as we are applying at the same time?
Some application specific question:
Question 1. Language. I have previously proven English language ability by taking IELTS (around 7 years ago). This certificate has 2 years validity ofc and it was part of my initial application for previous visa as well as the Tier 2 visa and tier 2 renewal (at which point it was definitely been two years). Now that I am making an ILR application, am I correct to assume that I should include the same certificate and since it has already been accepted, it doesn't become invalid after two years and I won't have to take a language test again (or UKNARIC certificate for my masters degree from Pakistan). My wife has the same certificate but she completed a UK Masters degree so she's covered anyways.
Question 2. Letter from employer regarding absence. I haven't spent 180 days or more in any rolling year and nor has my wife. I had one official travel and all others were personal holidays where I obtained annual leave. Is this sufficient for my employer to write that during these holiday dates, I had an annual leave and that's it?
Related question for my wife. Set(O) doesn't ask about her absences in the same manner as it does for me on the dependents page. For her, the question is "Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018?". The last leave we were grated was in 2015 (Tier 2 renewal) however she has traveled outside UK since 11 Jan 2018. Should I say NO to this question as the leave was granted before the 11/1/2018? I think I will include a lengthy supporting letter which will contain all her absences anyway.
Question 3: Cohabitation. We have got plenty of letters, mostly individual letters at the same address including voting cards, payslips, driving licenses etc. Our main bank account is a joint one, the statement of which will be included too. Latest water bill includes both of our names. This address is same as our previous application too. Sufficient? or anything else needed? Her passport has my name as husband's name since before we first came to UK and if that's not enough, she's got plenty of shopping on our joint account
Question 4: Previous Passport. Few months ago, I put them somewhere before travelling and haven't found them in the obvious places. I have some photos of relevant pages for the previous passports. How important will it be to find them or file a report with the police for lost previous passports (if they even consider filing such a report). In my renewal (2015) application, it was my previous passport that was valid at that time. I haven't misplaced any current documents (BRP/Passport etc).
Appreciate your response - always been reassuring and technically very sound.
