Can I continue to work on dependent visa until the BRP expiry if main applicant travels back

Post by Apex » Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:02 am

Dear All,

I'm currently working in London on dependent visa of Tier 2 ICT, my spouse being the main Tie 2 ICT applicant
Both our BRPs are valid till April 2019, However my spouse who is the main applicant will be travelling back in Dec 2018.

1. Can I continue to work in London with my current employer till April 2018 on the dependent Visa?
2. Can you suggest various options for me to continue with my current employer in UK till April 2018 as I cannot afford to lose my job
3. What are the options to continue with my current employer after April 2018

Your leave continues until expiry unless curtailed or cancelled at UK port.

Does that mean I can work until dependent BRP expiry even after the primary ICT applicant leaves UK ?
Can I safely assume that curtailment or cancellation only happen for special situations and hence should not be a general worry for me ?

Curtailment or cancellation are real possibilities, if they realize that the Tier 2 (ICT) holder has left the UK for good.

You will need to search the list, apply for jobs, secure a job after passing RLMT before your employer can request an RCoS and you have to apply for the visa from your home country if you get a RCoS approved through the monthly HO allocations meeting.
