Schengen Travel Insurance from xxxxxx

Post by sgtpepper » Mon Jul 23, 2018 4:43 pm

Hi all...

I'm an Indian citizen who has recently moved to the UK on a residence permit. I'm applying for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden next month.

For travel insurance, I'm looking at buying the weblink removed by moderator online.

I just wanted to check if this will be valid for me, since the insurance company is based out of Germany. Is this sufficient for me, or should I have to get a travel insurance from UK? If it's the latter, does anyone have a suggestion for UK based travel insurance policy that I can apply online?

Thank you :)

I'm sorry about the mention of the company name and asking for recommendations.

I just want to know if the travel insurance will be considered by the embassy, if the insurance company is based out of Germany, and I'm applying from the UK. The insurance covers all the schengen states though.

You have a Tier 2 visa, not a residence permit (which on the forum means a Residence Permit/card as a family member of an EU Citizen).

Kindly also refrain from posting weblinks on the forum and naming companies.

Any full travel insurance is usually fine.

Yes, I have Tier 2 visa. I was referring to the Biometric Residence Permit. I'll clarify this from the next time.

I'm sorry about that. I'll be careful next time :)

Thank you, that answers my question.

I have one other question. Is a separate letter from the employer required? Or is it fine to submit a copy of the employment contract and the BRP (both valid for 3 years) ?

You must follow the requirements on the form for the visa, which if I remember correctly, asks for an employer letter.
