‘Additional Checks’

Received email correspondence from sheffield last week stating

“ We apologise for the delay. We often have to make additional checks on applications and we cannot always give a timescale for how long these checks will take. We understand that this can be frustrating and your patience is very much appreciated”.

Could anyone shed light on what these additional check entail. As surely nhs usage, fines, criminal history and past information / cases / visas is fully checked / verified and sent to ECO when they acan documents. Anyone have any experience or knowledge of this?

It’s jackshit basically.
They keep changing their wordings time by time but what it actually means is that they are useless and not providing the service that should for this kind of money charged.

I understand your frustration as i am in a similair position. Will be 90 days soon. They claim they have delays but are able to process some quickly at random. So just wanted to know if anyone can shed light on what these additional checks are exactly !
