i hope your right but it is highly unlikely because this is gona be a big ceremony and usually there is a flood of approval letter posted on this form every time they need to send approval letters then request payment and then send invitation take a few week so even if there will be my bet is its gona be mid October

It is humanly impossible for them to have a ceremony now in August. I am assuming there will be a big one again in October as well.

I've emailed them a few weeks back and i've asked for an update as my husband and i did not book a holiday this year yet, we've been waiting for an update from them.
The lady emailed me back saying that the date was not decided on at that point, but that it was going to be either September or November. For me that was helpful, as i was able to plan something for August.
I have sent the payment and pictures back to them mid April, but i have not been included in May's Ceremony.

hi, I received the last letter in Jan 2018 and they mentioned 'Your application has now been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing. In general, it takes approximately 6 months for a straightforward application to be processed from the date it is received date decision is made." I am just worried after Jan 2018 because I didn't get any other letter after Jan 2018 so can someone guide me should I receive an invitation letter in next ceremony? or what you think guys.

After the second stage letter, you would receive an approval letter but if you haven’t heard anything since January, you might ring them to enquire about the status of your application.

Second stage is when they do background checks about you with the Gardai and other external agencies.

I called today and got the same response that the next ceremony is fixed on 26/11/2018 at Killarney. She further added that this is going to be a very big ceremony with a very large number of participants as the volume of application is quite high. It all makes sense, but knowing INIS replies on phone, do I fully trust their such statements? absolutely not

@Syjem: For me, I am still waiting for my approval. Applied in September 2017. Got second stage letter in 3 days and then ever since nothing from INIS. My application went into final stage last March, then out of the office for Minister approval in April, and then somehow it returned back to the second stage in May and it was in the second stage till now. But today I was informed that it is now in the well-advanced stage.
