Quick ILR Online Application Question

Post by hhashmi » Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:12 am

Hi Guys,

I have submitted my ILR application Set O form online and waiting on my appointment later in August.

Just reviewing the form i noted that under the question 'Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code' within the form, I mistakenly wrote my Staff ID/Employee No. I only picked this up as I received my Employer letter from my firm today and noted it mentioned a 4 digit code putting me under a employee category and upon cross-checking I discovered that was probably the SOC that should have gone on the application form.

So now my form mistakenly has my staff ID no. rather than the 4 digit category code it should have. The rest of the application has no errors and as mentioned my employer letter gives out the correct code anyway.

So i have a 2 parter question:

(a) Do i need to worry about above and re-submit my application correcting that one mistake or would I be able to clarify this if questioned on the appointment date ?

(b) If i need to re-submit my application, does that mean I need to repay £2,999 for the new app and request a refund on the old one ? Probably also means i lose out on the appointment date/time locked for the first application

Any help/guidance is much appreciated

You should wait for members to respond to your topic instead of tagging a duplicate post onto other members topics not relevant to your query.

If you have printed off the form, correct it by hand.

@ CR001

Sorry mate, couldn't find my original post so thought it never went through and new to all this.

Yes you are required to print off the pre-filled form and bring the application form with you; you reckon I should be alright just manually overwriting the typed answer ? That would be amazing.

Cheers, appreciate the help

Yes, just correct it by hand, many have done this.

Tier 2 to ILR application - Query on documents requested

Post by hhashmi » Wed Aug 08, 2018 11:21 am

Hi guys,

I have for my ILR appointment later this month and just going through the documents per the checklist I had 2 questions I wanted to double check :

1- "For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the
relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required,
please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website"

I was a undergraduate student in UK completing my BSc, would the UK student visa page within my old passport be sufficient for above ?

2- The following two were listed within the checklist but I believe they are the same/requires same evidence in my case ?

(i) Evidence of immigration status in the UK
(ii)Current Biometric Residence Permit

I would think my BRP would be the answer to both ?

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to double check if I'm being paranoid here or have missed out something big.

Thanks
