Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone could share their experiences regarding Home Office questions about my Wife's application (EEA Route, 6 month residence, Surinder Singh).
I am a British citizen living and working in Portugal and we applied as we will be travelling together there to live and work and fall under the EEA visa circumstances, she is also pregnant so we are going there to be closer to family. It's been nearly 3 weeks and we received this response today:
Home Office:
Dear xxxxxxx
I have received your visa application as a visitor. So that I may process your application, please can you supply me with the following information:
You state that you intend to live in the UK permanently with your husband although this is not clear in the submitted documents Therefore can you please answer the following
Will you be travelling to the UK with your spouse
Will he be returning to portugal and you remaining in UK
When is your baby due
Do you intend to use NHS or private to deliver your baby
Does he intend to give up his employment in portugal
Does he have a contract which commits him to work with xxxxxxxxxx until december 2018
If so what does he intend to do in the UK
What are your plans for the future
What are your spouse's plans for the future
Please reply to UKVS.Enquiries@fco.gsi.gov.uk and ensure that your visa reference number is given in the subject line’.
Please supply this information within one week of this email or we will consider the application on the documents we have and this is likely to result in a refusal of your application.
I responded all the questions honestly. But am apprehensive as anyone would be.
Please let me know your experiences and if the Home Office has sent stuff like this to you, and if so: What was the outcome?
Thanks a lot!
Chris
