Applying for ILR (LR) soon

Post by jason32 » Thu Jul 26, 2018 5:36 pm

hey guys,

This forum has always helped me in the past 10 yrs and now I need a few more questions for applying for ILR.

I am applying ILR (LR) and and theres a question in the form:

D18. Please provide the name, nationality and date of birth of any children who reside with
you in the UK. Please provide evidence of their residence with you.

I have 3 children but they are all dependents of my wife (tier 2 gen) and will be applying with her in Nov. I am applying just for myself this time. Do I have to mention the 3 kids? and what evidence could I provide to show we all live together? Can I show proof of my address from council tax letters and a letter from surgery confirming the addresses for my children?

Thanks

I have applied at least 4 times with the kids in the past 10 yrs...so do I still have to provide proof of living together? if yes then what can be used a proof of address of the kids? I have council tax letters with me and wife's names...is that enough? plus a letter from surgery confirming address of the kids?

If it is not a UK degree studied in the UK, you need UK NARIC UKVI Red Route, costs £150 (same as the B1 English test).

Ok thanks thats sorted but please can you help with this:

Can I show proof of my address for myself and my wife that shows we live together so kids are obviously with us or do I have to get letters from schools?

Please help I have my ILR LR appointment booked for first week of sept.

Date of application

Post by jason32 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 6:43 pm

Hey guys,

I complete my 10 yrs in end of Aug 2018, I got my LIUK certificate 25th July and booked my premium appointment on 26th July for first week of Sept.

The form I got after finishing the payment says application date 26th July, would they count this date as date of application or the actual appointment in first week of sept?

your actual appointment date is your date of application.

The payment confirmation says application date 26th July, was just concerned because I dont qualify for ILR on 26th July but obviously yes in Sept.

All of the searches -apart from one answer - says that the date of application is actually your appointment date and not the date you book your appointment/fill out the online application to book your appointment. I started to panic a little bit about this as well as my 28 days before my 5 years is Oct 21 2018 and plan to do an in-person appointment at the end of Oct (which I've read you can book 45 days prior online and is a nightmare and a half to do. In other words, I plan to book my appointment and fill in the online application the beginning of Sept). I really wish they would be consistent in their terminology as it makes it incredibly confusing for everyone

ILR LR tax info required?

Post by jason32 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 9:43 am

Hey guys I am applying in the first week of sept. I know for ILR LR all I need to send is my passports but I have not worked since 2013 apart from 3 months in 2017.

I came to UK in aug 2008 on a student visa but then I was offered a job and switched to tier 2 in March 2009 and finished the job in Oct 2010. Then I did my degree and didnt work till about jan 2012 and I witches to psw and registered a business and also did a job and that job finished around June 2012 but continued the business till 2013 then closed the business. And haven’t worked since then.

So there’s missing tax info with hmrc obviously so do they check this for ILR LR applications too? If yes then can I get a document from hmrc about this?

Thanks

The only info you will need to give on the ILR LR form is your national insurance number. You are not asked for any letters from HMRC, but that doesn't mean your tax affairs are not checked. Indeed one of the questions I was asked at my ILR LR appointment was if I was ever self employed. If you have tax issues, best to sort them out before applying

You cannot use the online form now if you have already booked and paid for in person appointment. You will need to use the paper form.

Just making sure I have it all right

Post by jason32 » Thu Aug 16, 2018 7:06 pm

hey guys,

I am applying in person for SET LR in first week of sept. I have all the docs ready, here is what I am preparing:

1. 2 photos
2. brp
3. passports
4. UK degree and transcript
5. LIUK
6. kids BRP photocopies as well as a council tax letter with both my wife and my names to show that we live together, basically for the question about the kids living with me. Even though I am applying for myself at this time. Also could send copies of our driver's licenses for proof of address maybe?

Do I need a cover letter? or is it just an unnecessary thing because all the details are already in the application form?

Do I have everything please?

(LR)Duty to state the reasons for wishing to stay in the UK

Post by jason32 » Mon Aug 20, 2018 1:41 pm

I am a tier 2 dependant my 10 yrs finishing at the end of Aug, so if they refuse my SET LR for any reason I could still be continue on my dependant visa as my wife's 5 yrs on tier 2 finishing soon too. Should i mention that in the form? or is it just the regular family, friends and job thing?

Kindly desist from digging up 3 year old topics to tag your questions onto. I have split your post and merged it with your existing topic.

Is cover letter necessary for SET LR?

Post by jason32 » Fri Aug 31, 2018 3:54 pm

Hey guys,

i am applying next week just finalising things, I wanted to ask if cover letter is necessary? I've been only out of the country for 5 times for a total of about 90 days with no previous visa issues.

Thanks for your help ;)
